MARGE MENASHE
Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool Director
Marge was born on a dairy farm in the great state of Wisconsin. She moved to Southern California in the fall of 1977 where she began her teaching career at a Christian school near Disneyland. She and her husband, Nissim, have a daughter Gloria who keeps them busy and young!! Marge is passionate about sharing the love of God with the preschoolers and their families. Her life verse is Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” She also loves Bible studies, walking, biking, and cheering on the Packers, Badgers, and Bucks.
ROD RANDALL
Associate Pastor
Rod grew up in Covina, received his B.A. from UC Irvine, and his M. Div. from Western Conservative Baptist Seminary. He has a heart for outreach and discipleship and teaching God’s word. His life verse is Luke 9:23 “Then He said to them all, if anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” He has served as a Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Senior Pastor at Harbor Trinity Church where he retired after 37 years of ministry. He met his wife, Leigh, while they were on a summer project with Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) in San Diego. They have been married for 39 years and have three adult children and two grandchildren. When it comes to freetime, his interests are ever changing, but the current list includes scuba diving, woodworking, darts, fishing and tennis.
CHERI ROTHENBERG
Family Ministry
Cheri grew up in Southern California and graduated from Chapman University with a degree in Sociology and Social Work. She has been in ministry for over 23 years in various roles in Children’s, Youth, and Family Ministries. Cheri and her husband, Ben, have 2 children, Dylan and Sophia. Cheri’s favorite part of Family Ministry is hanging out with the parents and Vacation Bible School each summer. In her free time, you can find her on a pool deck watching Dylan play water polo or at the theater watching Sophia’s performances. Cheri’s life verse is Joshua 1:9, which says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
BEN ROTHENBERG
Young Adults Director
Ben was born and raised in Long Beach, CA and moved to Costa Mesa in 2008. He and his wife, Cheri, have been married for almost 20 years. He is an Engineer in artists clothing, having graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Animation. He finds purpose in mentoring the next generation, and sharing God’s word with them in community. Ben and Cheri have been serving at Lighthouse for over 3 years. Ben’s life verse is Matthew 5:13-16, which says, “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is not longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”
ROBYN STRACHAN
Finance and Facilities
Robyn has lived in Costa Mesa/Huntington Beach her entire life. She and her husband, Mark, have two grown children, Matthew and Sarah, as well as two young grandchildren, James and Lucy. Robyn has worked at Lighthouse for over 20 years, starting in the front office. She now oversees the finances for both the church and preschool, as well as coordinating all facility operations. Her passion is singing and she is blessed to lead worship a couple times a month. She is a diehard fan of the Angels fan…win or lose!
